So many people have been asking me to do reviews on outdoor basketballs, and to be honest we don’t have outdoor basketball kind of weather until June-September. I still managed to go outside and do a review of an indoor/outdoor basketball I think is great for beginners.

At Dick’s sporting goods($40-$50)… Wilson NCAA Encore is the best one, I’ve been getting that every time now. It’s great for indoor or outdoors. I use for outdoors a lot, and it holds up really well . It’s also PREMIUM composite leather. Every time I go outdoors to play people want to use it for game ball all the time because how good it is. Definitely try it out! I’m about to purchase my 4th one sometime this week. (Strictly for outdoors, but also good indoors)

Yo! Absolutely love the page. I’m in a dilemma: I need a outdoor basketball and got the Wilson Official 3×3 Ball. I thought FIBA 3×3 Ball was a Size 7 but apparently they hoop on a Size 6 with Size 7 weight so I returned it thinking they had a 7. They don’t. In your opinion should I run with the official FIBA 3×3 ball or run with the one you suggest for easier transition from indoor to outdoor?

Bought a ball like that 2 years ago and I actually just used it once on a concrete basketball court last week and it started to peel off, probably if I use it everyday all of the outer "skin" will fall off. Do you think its because I didn’t use it for a long time? used to have a couple of molten balls and didn’t have the issue but was playing a lot before.
