Can you please review Snode adjustable dumbbells.
Coop…common, man. The pepin fast series and the snode 80AD… put em out there ! Lol
Not related but would love to see a review of cable attachments, especially upgrades to the ares plastic ones
The biggest flaw is the barbell length. Im going to see if theres a dumbbell to barbell converter so i can add plates with the "generic" adjustable dumbbells 1090 i already got, and, use a regular barbell along with traditional curlbar.
i need 1 about $100?
Another vote for a Nuo bell barbell. Just make it a bit tougher so it can survive some drops, as the dumbbells have to be set down gingerly.
If I had the space and cash, I could see having one of these for a dedicated ez curl station. Maybe taking up a shelf on a mass storage rack. I could also see using these for barbell walking lunges and single leg squats. Especially for the walking lunges, the full size bars can be a little cumbersome.
Great replacement for the home gym. The traditional metal A frame that holds the numerous weight selections is just too much for a home gym. These would be perfect….or close to it.
This guy cool. I love it. I need to partner with guy. Love what you. Awesome job bro!😊
I’ve actually gotten to like coop over time. Glad he’s on yt.
People who buy junk like these products NEVER make gains.
I´m glad Coop is back to normal, please do not go back to that "jumping Chandler" phase
How the hell do you fix these one side doesn’t turn
Dude, you are helping me a lot building my home gym.
God bless
Id love to see what you guys think of the Mutt Bars
I’m trying to build a home gym. These would be great.
Not to be a dick but who’s this made for? 100 lbs? I can’t picture what I would use this for other than curls or maybe some finishers on compound movements. Coop really should of added what exercises you can do with these lol. Pointless.
The best adjustable barbell I have found is the Rogue 2.0 bar. I can adjust the weight in 5 lb increments just by putting plates on each end of the bar itself. The versatility is amazing.
I just got an MX80 set and docking the bar back in the weights is cumbersome. Is there a trick to this or do I just have to keep futzing with the adjustment until it works? I used them before and it wasn’t this difficult.
Powerblock also make a Straight Bar and EZ Bar attachment for the Powerblock Pro EXP range which goes up to 195 lbs.
That’s what I use at home with a narrow narrow foldable rack.
@1:06 There looks like a green bow (bow and arrow bow) with a orange cable. Can anyone tell me what that is or what brand it might be or if Coop has reviewed it before?
I had the Bowflex dumbbells and changed to MXSelect 55 dumbbells and it was the best decision I made. I would go with MXSelect all day.
I actually prefer the MX bar over Bowflex, just looks better.
the bowflex 1 is to expensive for me.
There’s another option called "Taurus Selectabell" (similar to the Bowflex 2080 it’s a straight and an EZ bar, up to the same max weight but it also comes with a stand). That’s about 150 cheaper. A clone of that is also available for about the same price called TREXO 36 kg adjustable barbell set.
Personally I would go for an Olympic barbell and weights but it’s just way more expensive, needs more space and adjustment is time consuming. Since I’m lacking space and money I would tend to go with one of the adjustable options, especially the Bowflex 2080 as it can be upgraded, but the prices are still a couple hundred too much for the very small budget I could put aside for it. Still, I’d love to have one or the other.
Man I think you should’ve at least mentioned a loadable ez curl bar. They seem more budget friendly and still offer the small form factor for things like curls, skull crushers etc. You likely use them less than traditional dumbbells so the inconvenience of loading them isn’t too bad.
👍 Love the idea, but neither of those offer an acceptable execution yet… You forgot to mention that because the ends of both those brands are not round, the weight shifts a little in your hands unevenly as you curl or when pressing go from waist to shoulder height… Would be nice to see how NuBell approaches this… If weights were perfectly round like their dumbbells, the max went up to 200 or so pounds and adjustment increments were no more than 8-lbs at a time (5-lbs even better) they might be worth considering. No one is going to bench press with these but for curling, overhead press, trap raises, etc. might be worth considering beyond the mandatory power rack… Would need to come in under $1,000 all in, including stand, as far as I’m concerned…
you can’t be unbiased with affiliate links.
this stuff is useless crap xD drop this on ground few times and its done mechanisms will break
Thanks Coop.I just bought a set of Bowflex Select Tech 560 adjustable dumbells and i might get the Bowflex adjustable barbell to match?
(Even though i have an olympic barbell and iron plates).
Anything adjustable is cool & all but I’m more of a barbell & plate kind of guy.
They should’ve paid you upfront to review this. Ppl are going to consider it now just bc you reviewed it. That’s worth a lot more than affiliate link commission in this case
I bought the mx100 and I’m completely satisfied, it definitely looks like it’s made of more durable material and the shape of the bar is more serious, I’ve seen many options before and I particularly recommend it over the Bowflex…..
I feel like adjustable weights have begun to get ridiculously over designed and thus overpriced all dude to people thinking the 30 seconds its going to take to adjust the weight is really going to make or break them that much and cant be bothered to just buy a second bar
Coop, why haven’t you done the powerblock bars? they are cheeper and use your existing powerblocks
I think this is a great idea, but I have an old set of ativafit adjustable dumbbells that go up to 72. Throw a hyper bell bar on that and I’ve got a 150 pound adjustable barbell for around 500 bucks. That’s half the price of these guys and it goes much heavier.
Hey COOP, that bar is called an E-Z bar or a Cambered bar. Calling it a curl bar can be any bar strait or cambered. Get it right!
I’m down for freaking anything nuobell wants to take their shot at. I don’t know how but if they bring prices down AND reduce use of plastic they will be the industry’s no brainer.
How long before Bowflex redesigns their dumbbells to be shaped like these barbells so that the dumbbells aren’t so long when at lower weights?
Great review as always GGR Team 👍🏼
The wall behind you has plate and bar holders? Is it Titan?
I prefer to use the Rouge Ohio Bar model. Allows for use of small metal circles that can be placed in and removed from the bar itself for very easy storage and transfer of weight circles. Highly recommend!
Nuobell adjustable barbell, yes please.
Great for these companies, charge more for these over dumbbells and use half the weight. Loadable curl bar and barbell all day
I have powerblocks for dumbbells under 100# and pepins up to 200#
that bowflex 2080 looks like a weedwhacker lol
Thank you for the review something like this is exactly what I’m looking for. But I still don’t know which one’s the best for me… I like to use one myself maybe it would be easier to make the decision.
Love your content! Next do the Isolator by bullet proof fitness!!
very strange i see this video after thinking a couple days ago about adjustable barbells..I know the exist, but i was thinking it would be great if they could make them in big heavy sizes up to 500lbs and olympic size bars etc..would cost a lot but man the ease of use might be worth it..
You won’t do your back-in changing the weight! If you are over 40, that’s a great piece of equipment.
No review on powerblocks adjustable barbells? Would love to see it lol
16:18 Sirs, why Coop’s arms stay so skinny? Please, do the needful! Respect!
