So if Iam 300 lbs only bench 100 or what would you say would be my max I usually hit around 245 on my slat bench
What is a better product that folds?
Do you still recommend nuobel adjustable dumbbells?
This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don’t get pinched…that is important!
great review, subbed
I have owned this bench in the past. The only real issue I had was I am 5’10" and in any incline position about half my head would hang off the end of the backrest 🙁
I just bought this a month ago and its pretty good for the money. I have little space and don’t bench over 250 lbs, at least at this time. I know its cheap and may not last long, but currently, I didn’t have an answer for incline or decline, so this helped me out.
Coop what do you think about the marcy adjustable bench with the leg extention
i’m only 5’7 and thinking about getting a cheap foldable bench for just lighter weigth adj dumbbell work. I’m concerned the bench height seems HIGH. Anyone to comment on this? thanks
I think the product link in the description is wrong, it’s clearly for a different bench
I picked this up on woot for $59 shipped. Figured it work for a few months.
1000th like! Doing some research before school starts again to avoid wait times at gyms
I have owned this bench for 2 years now and never experiencing issues with the pad gap. Since I am 6’4" the height has also been something I appreciate, but my trainer who is 5’9" finds it too tall. I would have like to have seen Coop take all the way to the max capacity on weight, but understand why he didn’t.
I used to have a bench just like this and it was honestly not stable enough for me. I don’t even lift heavy, my bench is currently 245 pounds and I’m around 190.
Have similar bench . The only problem so far – it is not very stable for incline row.
I purchased this bench after perusing your videos. Just wanted to say it’s a pretty awesome bench for the price. Works great, great padding, folds away. Time will tell if it’s durable, but it certainly seems like it’s a quality item.
If you are looking for a low profile bench to pair with a 2 x 90lbs Bowflex dumbbell set, I’m guessing this fits the bill?
Coop you have to try the FLYBIRD Weight Bench, it’s underrated and great price as well. 1100 pounds it can handle.
it costs 400 $ in Germany!!!!!
I have this bench. Because of the footpad position, I can use it for back hypers. Do any of the popular more pricey benches allow you to do back hypers?
I just picked one of these up for $100. I am hoping it will do the trick for the small amount of incline and decline work I do.
What are the two decline incriments? 30 and 10 degrees maybe?
Looks like my my mom’s ironing board from when I was a kid. Lol.. GR8 review.. COOP!!
I’d love to see a review on those leverage gyms….
I have this bench. It’s really good for moving around the gym and I think doing some dumbell work on. I did but a heavier duty bench for when I do heavier lifts because it makes me nervous doing heavier weights on it.
This was good this guy is a great reviewer
2:12 so uhhhh….. I lost that pin. What size hitch pin is it so I can replace it?
Hi, I think you do a great job so please don’t take this as negative criticism. I really think expensive benches, weights and machines do not correlate to fitness. Of course, if your audience is wealthy and elite athletes, they can afford and require the best equipment. However, it is less likely that your audience is rich and elite athletes. If so, you should do more videos of lower priced equipment. I ordered benches and weights from low cost, much lower than the equipment you focus on, I have not had problems doing bench presses, dead lifts or virtually any of the exercises. I really believe that among lay people, the cost of equipment have little to do with their fitness levels.
I love this bench
Are there any good reasonably cheap folding flat benches out there? I actually own the flybird and it’s decent, but I think I’d prefer a more stable, folding flat bench for what I use it for, as it can take a while to get started if you store it after each use like I do.
Glad to hear they have improved this bench. I have the previous version and it’s…fine. the plywood inside the seat broke and I had to add more support to it to fix it, hopefully they improved that. But it’s cheap, folds up if you live in an apartment and need to move it (like I did), and it gets the job done.
19 inches off floor is the deal killer for me and my short limbs.
I just wanna know if this will be good for someone benching 300-500 lbs.
Great review mate!!
Besides this one, what incline bench would you recommend for home use, one that’s a space saver? Ty”
This bench is really great for people who live in a apartment and don’t have much space. You can keep it in your closet without permanently occupying your already limited space like an unfoldable adjustable bench would. As far as I’m concerned there is no other adjustable bench that can fold like this for this demographic of people and I think that’s why it sells so well.
Loves this trash bench, but trashes the keppi bench that a lot of us might want. Non biased use the affiliate link folks
thanks for posting every time I want to buy a piece of equipment I realize I am 68 years old now and some medical issues but I can still lift great channel.
Flybird benches are trash. I purchased the 299 version and the leg extension broke in less than 8 months. The bench is also very instable at times. When I called customer service to have it fixed, I got a response saying they were out of the office for a week lol. Fucking Chinese junk.
When I do decline I just put a plate under the leg. I think the extreme declines hurt your shoulders.
I have had mine for 4 years and it is like new. And I use it everyday.
It is on sale for $75 bucks right now. Buying it.
Will you review Flybirds power rack set? I’m thinking about getting the power rack combo with the barbell, bumper plates and bench.
There is a new version of this with thicker pads, less pad gap, and nicer pad covering.
Perfect for truckers
I need to load and unload a bench from the car constantly and looks like this will be perfect for me
Will this be to high for a 5ft 8in guy will I be able to place my feet on the ground
Thank you Coop!
I bought a similar one about 3 years ago. I wanted one that was foldable with an incline seat that was not as high as my Ironmaster. I bought it from Walmart, got it quick! Kudos to Walmart.
I opened the box, the aesthetics was nice and compact with little to assemble. It was about two inches shorter than my IM which was great as I’m only about 5’5, but that’s about all the positives.
The Negatives: It came on chest day and I was excited to see the box when I came home from work ready to go hard. So after doing the minimal assembly, I think I started off with dumbbell presses. I was doing about 90lbs each so about 180lbs.
It held for a few, but then the 3rd set or forth I heard something like metal cracking and the long part of the bench came down about an inch while I was pressing. Luckily, i had have great control. I’m not sure why I continued, but then went on to incline. I’m not sure how it held up, but it did. I did hear the metal squeaking througout
The incline of the seat was ok, but not as good as the IM where there is no way I’m sliding off of it regardless of the weight. So, I’m finishing my workout and I usually do leg raises with about 10 or 20 lbs ankle weights facing the opposite direction when pressing. I did a few and the arm snapped from where it secures to the bench. It wasn’t my day in more ways than one.
I returned it to Walmart kudos to them for the returns. I was hesitant from buying as I was skeptical about the it secure, but i went on impulse and the add saying it would hold up 600lbs. Lol
The bench is not good unless ur pressing like 50lbs total or each dumbbell. Then again, it could be that the one I got that was faulty.
I had a cap bench for over 10 years, solid! The only reason why I sold it was cause the seat didn’t incline and I kept sliding down when I went over 75lbs on the dumbbells.
I have a foto and video that I may post up soon.
Coop what dumbbells are those? @ 6.27
It looks like the AB-3100 V3 has a 700 lb weight limit for us tiny fellas that don’t press 700ibs.
Is this a decent bench ? $319 Amazon. Now I need a squat rack. Any suggestions
